Shri Satyanarayana Pooja and Public Meeting was organized on 29.12.2025 at Rangamantapa,of the Chikka Emmiganuru Circle of the Chikkajajuru Project Office jurisdiction.
The programme was inaugurated by Ms. Sumithra, Coordinator, Ishwariya Brahma Kumaris University, Holalkere, who shared insights about the project activities and explained how the scheme plays a vital role in supporting people’s livelihoods and improving their standard of living.
The programme was presided over by Shri. L. B. Rajappa, President, Shri Satyanarayana Pooja Committee, Kengunte. In his address, he appreciated the commendable work of Dharmasthala in renovating hundreds of temples across the taluk. He highlighted that the sacred institution provides Sujnananidhi scholarships every month to hundreds of poor children to support their education, supplies assistive devices to persons with disabilities, and offers Rs. 1,000 per month to destitute individuals to help them sustain their livelihoods. He further emphasized that Dharmasthala has become a strong economic backbone for rural communities by supporting self-reliant living.
The programme was attended by District Director Shri Kamalaksha, Field Project Officers Vasanth S and Mrs. Saraswathi, members of the District Jagruti Vedike, Chitradurga, Mr. L. V. Yogeesh Kumar, journalist from Vijaya Karnataka Daily, representatives of the Ramgiri Pragathi Bandhu Self-Help Groups Federation of Chikka Emmiganuru Circle, around 300 SHG members, village leaders, and local residents.
