The Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) continues its impactful work in the Mysore region by fostering awareness and empowerment among rural women. On January 30, 2026, the Gundlupet Project Office, under the Chamarajanagar District Office, organized a Women’s Seminar. This initiative was designed to bridge the gap between rural communities and essential social resources, ensuring that women are equipped with the knowledge to lead healthier and more independent lives.
The seminar focused on critical aspects of women’s well-being, specifically emphasizing health education and social legalities. Experts provided vital information on Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer, helping to demystify these conditions and encourage early screening. Additionally, the session addressed the serious social issue of Child Marriage, raising awareness about its legal and personal consequences. By combining these health insights with a focus on Self-Reliance, the program aimed to inspire the 550 participants to build a life of dignity and economic independence.
The event was marked by a collaborative spirit, featuring esteemed guests such as Dr. Kavya, Saraswathi from the Women’s Counseling Department, and Rudramma Basappa from the Department of Women and Child Development. Chamarajanagar District Director Shri Dinesh, along with Project Officer Chandrashekhar and JVK Coordinator Chaithra C.S., oversaw the proceedings. The dignitaries lauded the “excellent organization” of the event. To further celebrate the participants, various competitions were held, and prizes were distributed to recognize and encourage the diverse talents of the center members.
