Agriculture Minister Cheluvarayaswamy Launches SKDRDP’s 600th Shuddha Ganga Unit at Nagamangala

The 600th Shuddha Ganga clean drinking water unit was grandly inaugurated at Arakere village in Devalapura Gram Panchayat, Nagamangala Taluk. This milestone project was launched through the collaborative efforts of Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), BC Trust Nagamangala, and the Devalapura Gram Panchayat.

The program was graced by the Honorable Minister for Agriculture and District In-charge Minister, Shri Cheluvarayaswamy, who officially commissioned the unit by switching on the motor. In his address, the Minister highlighted the importance of accessible clean drinking water for rural health and commended the organization’s scale in reaching the 600-unit milestone. A significant local contribution was made by village leader Shri Nandi Ramesh, who donated 200 water cans free of cost to support the unit’s operations and facilitate water distribution for the villagers.

The event saw the presence of several key officials and dignitaries, including EO Shri Satish, PDO Shri Lava, and Block Congress President Mandya District Director Smt, Chethana and Taluk Project Officer Shri Divakar were present, and other delegates. The program concluded successfully with the enthusiastic participation of the local community, marking a new chapter in the village’s self-reliance for pure water.
