Dairy Farming for Forming the Life:

Smt. Vijayalaxmi is a resident of Turuvekere Taluk, Tumkur District. She joined Laxmidevi self-help group and got information about the various programme of SKDRDP. She started her savings and borrowed her first Pragathinidhi loan of Rs. 10,000/- to buy two goats. After that she borrowed Rs. 50,000/- of Pragathinidhi loan and bought a cow. She applied for Microbachath policy to borrow Rs. 2,00,000/- loan and bought three cows. She gets 50 liters of milk from the cattle, which helps her to repay weekly loans. She applied for another policy, borrowed Rs. 3,00,000 of Pragathinidhi loan, installed borewell and grew vegetables and earned good income. She was inspired by the information she got from Jnanavikasa programmes and reading Niranthara paper. She heartily thanks Rev. Shri. D. Veerendra Heggadeji, Matrushree Hemavathi V. Heggade, SKDRDP and SKDRDP Staffs for supporting her to build a self-reliable life.
