Rev. Shri. D. Veerendra Heggade, President of SKDRDP inaugurated the new project office building” Vikasa Soudha” at Holalkere, Chitradurga District and said SKDRDP is constantly striving for the development of the society. 4500 self-help groups are ‘A’ graded. The Profit of Rs. 1.30 lakh is distributed to each SHG. Today, women who have benefited from SKDRDP are financially strong enough to buy gold. The prosperity of every family in the society is our aim. SKDRDP financially supports people for self-employment. Given grants for renovation of temples, rejuvenation of lakes and also encouraging agriculture. He said that more programmes will be implemented in the coming days. SKDRDP has been extended to Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Delhi States. But their banks are not giving loans to women. We are giving guarantees behalf of women and providing financial assistance for SHG members. Training centers have been started in 600 parts of the country to provide self-employment to the youth community.

The Cabinet Minister Sri. D. Sudhakar distributed profit to the SHG members and said SKDRDP has been working hard for the welfare of the people on the model of the government for the past 45 years. SKDRDP has given support to for the development of lakes, Agriculture, Self-employment and Women empowerment. Ex-Minister Sri. H. Anjaneya distributed the Sujnananidhi Scholarship and said SKDRDP is doing the works which even not possible for the Government. It has strengthened women through providing financial support. Sri. Govinda, MP, handed over the Nammuru Namma Kere Certificates and said Dharmasthala has contributed immensely to the development of North Karnataka. Various facilities were distributed to the beneficiaries in the programme. The CEO of SKDRDP BC Trust® Sri. Anil Kumar S S, Political Leaders, Regional Director Smt. Geetha B., Directors, Project Officers, members of Gram Panchayat and SHG members were present in the programme.
