SKDRDP Revitalizes Amrutakere of Ajekar of Udupi District

Amrutakere in the Ajekar zone of Udupi District has rejuvenated under SKDRDP’s’ “Nammuru Namma Kere” programme. Following this significant work, the lake was handed over to the Marne Gram Panchayat.
On this occasion, Nagaraj Shetty the District Director Of Udupi, stated that the future can be bright if groundwater increases, Water is essential component for all the living organisms therefore it is a pivotal work for all the individual to protect and save the water. He expressed that an increase in groundwater levels would not only solve drinking water problems but also benefit agricultural activities.
Arun Bhat, the chairman of the Lake Committee, performed the puja ceremonies. This lake rejuvenation project is a great ray of hope for the local community, especially in areas that face water scarcity during summer, where it will play a crucial role. The programme was presided by Prabhavathi the president of Grama panchayat. The programme was attended by Rajesh Shetty the member of Grama Panchayat and other delegates.
