10 lakes at the Tyavarekoppa Tiger and Lion Safari Zoo in Shivamogga district were revitalized through the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project. The handing-over ceremony for these lakes took place on July 1, 2025.

Revered  Shri Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade ji, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, officiated the program and officially handed over the lakes to Shri Amarakshar, the Executive Director of the Tiger and Lion Safari Zoo.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Heggade emphasized that “human beings should create a conducive environment for animals and birds with a selfless attitude.” He further added, “A beautiful forest has been nurtured in this zoo, providing protection to the surrounding flora and fauna. Since animals and birds require air, light, and water, we were very happy to facilitate the renovation of these lakes through the project.”
