On July 8, 2025, an environment protection awareness and sapling planting program was successfully held at the Zilla  Panchayat Higher Primary School in Katipalla, Surathkal Zone. Environmentalist Sri Sadashiva Shetty provided free saplings to the students and educated them about the importance of environmental conservation.

The event was attended by Shri Lokesh,  member of Mangaluru City Corporation; Shri Sadashiva Shetty, former President of Taluk Janajagruthi; Shri Anantharam Rao, Headmaster of the school; Shri Mohammed Sharif, President of the School Development Committee; Smt. Jameela, Vice President; Smt. Meeravani Aisha, President of the Federation; and members and office bearers of the work area and federation.

Smt. Latha Ameen,  Supervisor, compered the program. Smt. Geetha, Sevaprathinidhi, delivered the welcome address, and Smt. Pavitra offered the vote of thanks.
