Health Check-up Camp Held in Chikkaballapur under Jnanavikasa Program

A  health check-up camp was organized today as part of the Jnanavikasa program. In collaboration with Jain Mission Hospital, the camp offered free eye and dental screenings.

Shri Prashanth C.S. District Director, inaugurated the program. In his address, he detailed the various initiatives of the Shri Dharmasthala Rural Development Project, highlighting community development and women’s empowerment programs under Jnanavikasa. Regarding the health camp, he stressed the importance of preventive measures against diseases, advocating for healthy dietary habits and daily lifestyles. Shri Prashanth noted that consuming chemically-laden food, widely available in markets, is rapidly leading to life-threatening illnesses. He emphasized the adage, “Health is Wealth,” stating that “If one person in a family falls ill, the family quickly faces severe financial hardship.”

The event saw the presence of Shri Dr. Nagaraj and Shri Dr. Sandhya from Jain Mission Hospital, along with their staff. Other attendees included teacher Smt. Nalini, Federation President Madhu, Supervisor Mahesh, Jnanavikasa Coordinator B.C. Lepakshi, various organization members, villagers, and Sevapratinidhi.
