Environmental Workshop & Tree Planting at Pakkibettu of Udupi

An environmental awareness workshop and tree-planting program was successfully conducted under the joint auspices of Pragathibandhu Self-Help Group Federation and Shourya Disaster Management Unit, Ambagilu Zone, along with Sri Brahmabairkala Garodi of Pakkibettu, Pakkibettu Kalyanapura, and Rotary Club Kalyanapura.

Inaugurating the program, Udupi zone Forest Guard Shri Keshav Pujari stressed the importance of increasing the quantity of clean water on Earth. He warned that the current decline in groundwater levels, if it continues, could lead to a rise in global temperatures, adversely affecting all living species. He emphasized the critical need for environmental conservation in this regard.

Shri Prakash Pujari, President of the Administrative Committee of Pakkibettu Sri Brahmabairkala Garodi, presided over the program. Also present were the Field Project Officer of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project B.C. Trust (Regd.) Udupi Taluk, Shri Vittal Pujari, President of the Renovation Committee of Pakkibettu Sri Brahmabairkala Garodi, Honorary President Jagannath Pujari, Nidamballi Federation President Umesh Naik, Kalyanapura Gram Panchayat President Nagaraj Kundar, and Rotary Club President Shri Shashikanth Naik. Bhaskara Suvarna, sevapratinidhi of Nidamballi Federation, welcomed the gathering. Manjunath Prasad, Agricultural Supervisor, compered the program. Smt. Manjula, Supervisor of Ambagilu Zone, delivered the vote of thanks.
