SKDRDP Empowers Rural Women Through Tailoring Training Program in Indi

The Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), under the Indi Project Office in Vijayapura district, successfully organized a Tailoring Training program at the Beeralingeshwara Seminar Hall in Lachyan, Agakhed zone. The initiative aimed at fostering self-reliance and skill development among local women, continuing the organization’s mission of rural empowerment.

During the event, Shri Dhanraj Mujagonda, a Forest Officer, lauded the institution, stating that SKDRDP is the largest organization working toward women’s empowerment in society. He remarked that the visionary programs initiated by Rev. Shri D. Veerendra Heggade often surpass the scale and impact of government schemes, providing essential services to the community that are truly commendable.

Echoing these sentiments, Gram Panchayat member Shri Rajesab Nadap highlighted the socio-economic transformation occurring within the village. He noted that the Rural Development Project is driving significant change by empowering women both socially and economically through various community-oriented initiatives. Gram Panchayat member Shri Suresh Wali was also present to support the cause.

Providing deeper insight into the organization’s philosophy, Project Officer Nataraja L.M. detailed the history and core objectives behind the inception of the Rural Development Project. He emphasized that SKDRDP is not merely a lending institution but a comprehensive social welfare organization. He outlined a decade of impactful work in Indi Taluk, including pensions for the destitute, Sujnananidhi scholarships, Shuddhaganga units (clean drinking water), Vatsalya housing, de-addiction camps, and various religious and social programs, affirming that there is no area of community service left untouched by the Project.
