The distribution of bench-desks at Kannada Bharati High School in Honnavalli was successfully conducted on February 25, 2026, under the jurisdiction of the Tiptur Project Office. This initiative was made possible through the SKDRDP (Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project), reflecting the visionary leadership of Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade ji.
Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Shri V. Somanna praised the immense contribution of Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade ji, noting that the SKDRDP works tirelessly alongside government programs to ensure holistic progress. He highlighted that a significant investment of Rs.1.39 Crore has been utilized to distribute 1,540 pairs of bench-desks to 205 schools across the Tumkur district. 10 pairs of bench-desks were handed over, and the Minister urged both current and future students to make the best use of these facilities to enhance their learning experience.

The event was held under the esteemed leadership of Shri V. Somanna (Hon’ble Union Minister of Jal Shakti and Minister of State for Railways) and Smt.Saptashree (Taluk Sub-Divisional Officer). Other key participants who graced the occasion included District Janajagruti Vedike members Tarkari Gangadhar and Malligappachar. The program saw an active participation of approximately 200 people, including students, staff, and local community members, all witnessing the positive impact of this educational infrastructure support.
