SKDRDP, under its Nammuru Namma Kere programme, organized the 921st Purushammana Kere Handover Programme on 11 March 2026 at Purushammana Kere, Ranganathapura.
The main guests present at the programme were Shri Pavan Kumar, Shri Kanakappa, Ranganath and Shri Praveen Kumar District Director, Tumakuru-2. During the programme, the guests said that under the guidance of Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, 921 lakes have been rejuvenated across the state, and it is a matter of pride that their village lake is one among them. They noted that lake rejuvenation benefits villagers, farmers, and livestock by providing water for agriculture and daily use, while also increasing water storage and improving groundwater levels.
Through this lake rejuvenation initiative, 886 families have benefited, and water is now available for about 390 acres of farmland, making it highly useful for the farming community.
