The Quarterly Meeting of the Gelathi Family Counseling Committee under the Chitradurga Regional jurisdiction was organized at the Chitradurga Regional Office The meeting was arranged by the Jnanavikasa Division of the Regional Office to review the activities of the Gelathi program and discuss issues related to family counseling and women’s welfare.

The program was inaugurated by Shri Vijaykumar H., Deputy Director of the Women and Child Welfare Department. In his address, he emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among various departments to address the challenges faced by women and children in society. He also highlighted the need to create awareness about adolescent issues, the POCSO Act, and government support available for HIV-affected girls, and encouraged field-level workers to spread awareness in collaboration with local departments.The meeting was attended by several distinguished members including Psychiatrist Basavaraj, Gynecologist Dr. Jyothi, and Advocate Geethanjali. Other delegates present included officials from the Women and Child Welfare Department, representatives from the Gelathi counseling committee, and District and Taluk Coordinators from six districts under the regional jurisdiction. During the meeting, discussions were held on family counseling cases, challenges faced in the field, and the effective implementation of the Gelathi program in supporting distressed women and strengthening family well-being.
